Political Academy

The Youth wing of the Council of Asian Liberals and Democrats (CALD Youth) invites young students, researchers, scholars, entrepreneurs, and leaders to participate in the CALD Youth Political Academy 2018 (CYPA2018) with the theme “The 3Is of Leadership for the Environment: Imagine, Inspire, Innovate” which will be held on 05-08 October 2017 in Semarang, Indonesia. This 3-day event features a wide array of seminars, debates, panel discussions and exposure trips on issues ranging from political leadership to socio-cultural affairs that aim to provide the delegates a forum where they can share their experiences, voice out their ideas and enrich their knowledge in their respective fields of endeavor.

QUALIFICATIONS

CYPA2018 aims to convene bright young leaders from various fields of studies such as business, economics, liberal arts, science, and politics. The purpose of this event is to gather youth leaders in an event wherein they can engage in intellectual discussions about timely issues and collaborate on feasible and applicable solutions and policies that have real world applications.

Please find the list of qualifications below:

Minimum Qualifications

• 18 to 30 years of age by October 2018
• Bona fide regular member/leader of his/her organization
• Has not been subjected to any disciplinary case in campus nor been charged and/or convicted in a civil criminal case

Core Qualifications

• Recognized, active, and effective young leader of his/her organization
• Model of discipline, excellence, and integrity
• Has sincere desire to serve and a passion to bring positive change in the society
• Aware of and involve in international, domestic, community, and school issues
• Has excellent communication skills

HOW TO APPLY

Please submit the following documents:

• Application Form (to be downloaded here)
• A recent CV with attached 2×2 ID picture
• A motivation letter in which you elaborate on your motivation to attend the summit and how the acquired skills and knowledge will be used upon completion of the event. Include a description of your future plans and aspirations and why this event is important in this regard.

INCLUSIONS

Successful applicants will be provided with the following:

• Most economical airfare from city of origin to Indonesia (maximum of 500 EUR; any amount in excess of 500 EUR will have to be shouldered by the delegate)
• Hotel accommodation for the entire duration of the event
• Meals for all event days
• Delegate kit (conference bag, note pad, pens, etc.)
• A certificate of participation
