CALD congratulates new Bangkok Governor

(August 30, 2004/Bangkok, Thailand) The Council of Asian Liberals & Democrats in itsCALD Resolution 7, S. 2004 congratulated Democrat Party (DP) candidate Apirak Kosayodhin for besting 20 other candidates for the post of Bangkok Governor and noted the victory of  the DP as a vindication of its sound  economic policies, concrete platform of governance  and  clear political ideology.

CALD also expressed confidence that with the support of the Democrat Party, Mr. Apirak will be able to fulfill his promise of promoting cooperation between communities, the private sector and government; of improving the environmental conditions of the modern metropolis and the quality of life of its citizens; and of advocating transparency and efficiency in all of Bangkok’s 50 districts.
