CALD hires new Program Officer

(Manila, Philippines/ October 1, 2002) Mr. John Joseph S. Coronel, Executive Director of the Council of Asian Liberals & Democrats, announced the appointment of Mr. Raul L. Cordenillo, as the new Program Officer of CALD.

Mr. Cordenillo was previously Deputy Director General for Advocacy and Research of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the largest business organization in the Philippines.  Prior to his stint at the PCCI, he also worked as Executive Assistant to Trade and Industry Secretary Manuel A. Roxas, an official of the Liberal Party of the Philippines.

Mr. Cordenillo earned his Masters of Arts in Economics and Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of the Philippines.   

Mr. Coronel also reported the hiring of Mr. Paolo Zamora as project and research assistant for two projects, namely, the CALD Young Leaders Workshop and the CALD-ELDR Meeting 2002.
