CALD holds reception for newly-married Program Officer

(May 8, 2007/ Manila) CALD Executive Director John Coronel hosted a dinner party yesterday at the FNF-CALD Office in honor of Mr. Paolo Zamora, CALD Program Officer, who recently got married.

Mr. Zamora married Atty. Gladys Nebab, a young lawyer working for a leading Philippine law firm, in a garden ceremony in suburban Antipolo City last April 28.

Among those present during the CALD dinner were Atty. Nebab-Zamora, Mr. Siegfried Herzog, Resident Representative (Manila) of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation, Mrs. Herzog and the staff of FNF Manila; CALD Program Officer Carlo Religioso; CALD interns Kyang Luk of Burma, Gita Gupalan of Ateneo de Manila University and Paola de Vera of Miriam College. Former CALD Program Officer Brian Gonzales, now working at the Bangkok regional office of the World Conservation Union, also attended the dinner.

Mr. Herzog, Mr. Coronel, the staff of CALD and FNF Manila attended the wedding ceremony and reception. Also present during the wedding were Ms. Chit Asis, Director General of the Liberal Party of the Philippines; Mr. Lambert Ramirez, Executive Director of the National Institute for Policy Studies; and, Ms. Andrea Yang, editor of the Taiwan think tank and former CALD Program Officer.

Mr. Zamora joined the CALD Secretariat on August, 2002, making him the longest serving CALD Program Officer.
