CALD Resolution No. 5 S. 2010

CALD resolution commending Mr. Siegfried Herzog for his exemplary work and dedicated service as Resident Representative of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Liberty Philippine Office (2006-2010), recognizing his significant contributions to the advancement of liberal politics and economic freedom in the Philippines and in the region, expressing CALD’s sincere gratitude for his support, and wishing him continued success in his new post as FNF Regional Director for South Asia and in all his future endeavours.

Commending Mr. Herzog’s outstanding leadership and dedicated service as head of the FNF Philippine Office for the past four years, as well as his unwavering commitment to the principles and ideals of freedom, participatory democracy, rule of law and market economy;

Aware that his exemplary work and service contributed significantly to the advancement of liberal politics and economic freedom in the Philippines and in Asia;

Lauding Mr. Herzog’s role in strengthening relations among national, regional and international liberal organizations and enhancing their importance as crucial democratic institutions;

Acknowledging his contributions to academic and policy debates in the Philippines and in the region through his inputs to FNF partners’ strategic planning sessions, his essays and reports on current events, and his support for noteworthy publications;

Expressing sincere appreciation of Mr. Herzog’s support for CALD, in particular its Manila- based secretariat, which helped in further elevating the organization’s recognized status as a respected and dynamic forum of liberal and democratic political parties in Asia;

Recognizing that his recent promotion to the post of FNF Regional Director for South Asia is an acknowledgment of his competence and dedication by FNF and its partners;
