FNF-CALD launch book on September 11 and Political Freedom

(Bangkok, Thailand/ September 11, 2002) The Friedrich Nuamann Foundation and the Council of Asian Liberals & Democrats launched a ground breaking book entitled 9-11 and Political Freedom: Asian Perspectives.

This is the first book published in Asia on 9-11 and it focuses on political developments in the region following the terrorist attacks in the United States. Published by Select Books of Singapore, the book arose from a CALD conference on globalization held in Manila on November, 2001. Among the contributors are Southeast Asian specialist Dr. Kevin Hewison, Dr. Chaiwat Satha-Anand of Thammasat University of Thailand, World Bank consultant and Indian academic Dr. Sobroto Roy, Dr. Hadi Soesastro of the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Jakarta and Dr. Majid Tehranian of the University of Hawaii. The book is edited by Messrs. Uwe Johannen, Alan Smith and James Gomez.  Please proceed to911 and Political Freedom.
