Fourth CALD Intern to European Parliament selected

(February 13, 2004) Ms. Janice B. Janioso, a 23-year old law student and municipal councilor from the Northern Mindanao province of Bukidnon is the fourth CALD intern to the European Parliament representing the Liberal Party of the Philippines. The internship program is organized by the European, Liberals, Democrats and Reform Party Group (ELDR)  and the International Political Dialogue of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation (IPD-FNF). It involves parliamentary work in the EP in Brussels, Belgium and Strasbourg, France and research and advocacy initiatives in select European non-government organizations.  Ms. Janioso departs on March 1 for Brussels.

The three previous interns of CALD are Mr. Manel Priyantha Kulatunga of the Liberal Party of Sri Lanka, Mr. So Serey Yuth of the Sam Rainsy Party of Cambodia and Ms. Amy Hsiehof the Democratic Progressive Party of Taiwan.
