YLDA accepted as CALD Associate Member

(October 13, 2005/ Taipei) During its meeting today, the Executive Committee of the Council of Asian Liberals & Democrats accepted the application of Young Liberals & Democrats of Asia (YLDA) as an Associate Member of CALD.Prior to the Executive Committee Meeting, the membership committee chaired by Madam Saumura Tioulong, MP, of Sam Rainsy Party and with members Dr. Neric Acosta, MP, of the Liberal Party of the Philippines and Ms. Chee Siok Chin of the Singapore Democratic Party conducted a thorough interview of Mr. Jonathan Malaya, YLDA President.

YLDA was established as an off shoot of the CALD Young Leaders Workshop in Manila (2002) andPhnom Penh (2003).
